Message from the Pastor

BLESSED

Chosen by God to be apart of his Kingdom in such a time as this, is an honor, that he’s given each of us that are apart of God’s Kingdom.

I can't help but think of the many souls that I pray for each week, and the most common prayer request is “Pastor could you pray that the Lord would Bless Me”.

I clearly heard the Lord speak to me and say teach my people my WORD! All throughout scripture we find the blessings of God attributed to obedience to God. In Deuteronomy the 28th chapter we have recipe for blessings as God gave it to the Nation of Israel, and it can also be used to apply to the church today. There are also many references in the New Testatment that further explain that our blessings are as a result of us being "IN CHRIST" and allowing his life to flow in and through us.

The first ingredient is a listening ear and secondly, a zealous heart to obey God’s commands. (Deut. 28:1)
Third, we must recognize our ineptness and be broken before God. (Matt. 5:3)
Forth, we need to have an appetite or a desire for God and ultimately what he wants us to have.  (Matt. 5:5)

In Jesus' message in Matthew the 6th chapter, he sums up his sermon by telling us to seek first his Kingdom and all of his righteousness.  He then says that all of these things or as some would label them (blessings) would be added.  Some people are working two and three jobs to aquire things.  Some are caniving and backstapping to gain.   Our Lord says he'll supply these things for us as we pursue him.
Blessings isn’t something that you get when someone prays over you, but rather being blessed is a result of a surrendered life to God.   Living your life in Christ allows you to access all of the blessings that he’s given you when he saved you.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (Eph. 1:3).
